Role:
- Facilitate the goals and activities of the firm’s client accounts management in the Accounting and Finance Department
- Collaborate with Billers, Partners, Legal Secretaries and Clients to provide high-level, results-driven support and service
- Ensure timely collection of Accounts Receivable to meet and exceed firm expectations
- Analyze client accounts, identify trends, and implement strategies to optimize collections
- Maintain financial health of the firm by addressing receivables and minimizing overdue accounts
- Maintain confidentiality and compliance with firm policies and ethical standards
Responsibilities:
- Document communications between clients, attorneys, and accounting staff in ARCS Collections Software
- Conduct thorough research on client activities to predict future payment patterns and identify potential issues
- Analyze data to identify and resolve problematic patterns and develop strategies to improve collection rates
- Coordinate with Accounts Receivable and Billing Team to ensure accurate allocation of client funds and streamline processes
- Maintain key reporting metrics and provide ad hoc reporting as requested
- Address receivables of transitioning Partners and seek necessary write-off approvals
- Manage escalated client accounts by submitting and tracking status with third party collection agencies
- Identify and suggest improvements to existing processes and implement approved changes
- Perform other duties, as assigned with the ability to adapt to cyclical periods, peak workloads, and new assignments
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or a related field
- 4+ years’ experience in accounting or other business experience, legal or professional services experience preferred
- Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
- Proven analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize workloads
- Proficient with accounting and business software programs, advanced knowledge of accounting software systems required
- Hybrid role with 3 days per week on-site presence
- Salary range of $62,100 - $95,000, commensurate with experience and geographic location
- Eligible for discretionary annual bonus
