Job Responsibilities:
The Billing and Calendaring Clerk is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the office by managing various clerical and administrative tasks. Key responsibilities include:
- Calendaring due dates and motion dates to ensure all legal deadlines are met.
- Scheduling calls and meetings for attorneys and paralegals.
- Running billing processes and following up on payments when necessary.
- Drafting closing file letters and ensuring all documents are proofread for accuracy.
- Supporting attorneys in a fast-paced environment by juggling multiple tasks and meeting deadlines.
Education and Experience Information:
The ideal candidate for the Billing and Calendaring Clerk position should have:
- At least 3 years of experience working in a New Jersey litigation law firm.
- A Bachelor's Degree or a Paralegal Certificate from an ABA-approved program.
- Experience with Mac/Apple computers or the ability to quickly learn the technology.
- The ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Strong ownership of their role and duties, with the ability to take directions and execute tasks efficiently.
Salary Information:
The Billing and Calendaring Clerk position offers a salary of up to $54,000 per year, dependent on experience.
