Salary and Bonus Information
We understand the value of our employees and are committed to offering competitive compensation and benefits. Our New York State salary range for this position is $150,000 to $300,000, with potential for additional variable compensation based on individual performance and contributions. This range reflects our good-faith and reasonable estimate of the base compensation for this position and does not include bonuses or other benefits offered by the firm. The final salary offered will depend on various factors such as years of experience, qualifications, and office location.
About the Position
As our Employee Benefits and ERISA Partner, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of challenging and complex legal matters related to employee benefits law. Your responsibilities will include:
- Representing clients in all areas of employee benefits law, including qualified retirement plan design, compliance, and sponsor and fiduciary risk management
- Drafting and reviewing benefit plan documentation
- Handling ERISA claims and dispute resolution
- Assisting with governmental investigations and audits
- Ensuring compliance with the Affordable Care Act
- Developing and maintaining strong client relationships
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:
- A Juris Doctor degree and admission to the bar in the state where you will be practicing
- At least 10 years of experience in employee benefits law
- A strong understanding of ERISA and other relevant laws and regulations
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills
- A portable and growing book of business is highly desired
