Senior Financial Solutions Analyst
Job Responsibilities:
The Senior Financial Solutions Analyst is tasked with supporting the financial analysis of the law firm by creating shareable datasets and reports, as well as developing standardized systems for reporting best practices. Key responsibilities include:
- Identifying and documenting inconsistencies in existing financial reporting resources, developing a system of standardization, and proposing the consolidation of duplicative reports.
- Developing new financial reporting resources using a combination of SQL and business intelligence (BI) tools.
- Evaluating firm systems and processes, identifying inefficiencies, promoting automation, and collaborating with key stakeholders to develop an action plan.
- Working with business users to document and implement business processes and changes using system best practices, including understanding business needs, diagramming the process, and implementing changes.
- Demonstrating a good understanding of data structures, data integrity, indexing, and the ability to write efficient stored procedures and views.
- Cultivating a deep knowledge of the Aderant financial system and firm accounting processes to support integrations with other firm systems.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Proficient in SQL and adept at working with relational databases.
- Strong knowledge of BI concepts and experience using Tableau or Power BI.
- Demonstrated project management and problem-solving abilities to find creative solutions.
- Ability to present technical information in a manner understandable to both Finance and IT teams.
- Technically minded and able to work with vendors on support issues.
- Ability to exercise considerable judgment and discretion in establishing and maintaining good working relationships with both attorneys and staff.
- Strong self-starter with the ability to work independently.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with proficient typing abilities.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications and strong Excel skills.
- Aptitude and willingness to learn and adapt to evolving technologies as appropriate.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a closely related field, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience at a large professional services firm or corporation.
- Strong experience with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).
- Experience with Power Apps is preferred.
- Hands-on experience retrieving data by writing complex SQL.
- Experience working in a large law firm is highly preferred.
- Experience in financial systems, with Aderant experience being beneficial.
Salary Information:
Compensation for the Senior Financial Solutions Analyst position is dependent on several factors, including position, location, education, training, and/or experience. The hiring salary range is $85, - $105,.
