Job Description:
Navitus, a pharmacy benefit manager company, is seeking a Paralegal to join their Legal and Regulatory Affairs department in Madison, WI. The Paralegal will be responsible for managing licensing processes, conducting legal research, drafting legal documents, and providing support and analysis related to regulations impacting the company.
Responsibilities:
- Manage processes related to licensing requirements for Navitus and its subsidiaries and their employees
- Conduct legal search on relevant laws, statutes, and regulations and prepare memorandums of the findings
- Prepare legal documents, such as contracts and correspondence, for review, approval, and use by attorneys
- File legal documents and correspondence in digital and physical filing systems
- Research and analyze statutes, judicial decisions, legal articles, contracts, and legal codes
- Perform other clerical duties such as scheduling appointments, providing information to internal and external stakeholders, and reading and triaging incoming mail
- Identify, review, and track legislative and regulatory environment changes impacting Navitus and its affiliates
- Provide support and guidance related to the interpretation of applicable rules and regulations
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Secondary education and/or a paralegal certificate, or four or more years of comparable experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Paralegal Certification preferred
- Highly developed verbal and written communications skills
- Ability to type with speed and accuracy
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, Teams, and Adobe Acrobat
- Strong organizational skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Problem-solving and adaptability in new technology and processes
- Ability to interact cooperatively and respectfully with other employees
