Job Title: Investigative Analyst

Job Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Assistant District Attorneys (ADAs), local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies in long-term investigations and prosecutions of violent organized crime, including street gangs, major narcotics dealers, interstate gun traffickers, and gang-related homicides.
- Conduct in-depth open source searches on investigative targets and create detailed profiles based on findings.
- Mine social media platforms and analyze search warrant returns to gather corroborating evidence.
- Examine and interpret documentary evidence such as cell-site, call detail, financial, and social media records to develop a comprehensive understanding of case details.
- Collect and analyze data pertinent to specific unit investigations and cases.
- Work independently and directly with police detectives and federal agents.
- Analyze evidence from various sources and establish connections between different items of evidence.
- Review and transcribe Department of Corrections phone calls and wiretap phone calls, and prepare integrated trial exhibits that present recordings and investigation findings.
- Generate trial and Grand Jury exhibits that effectively present evidence and the conclusions that can be drawn from it.
- Translate field intelligence and evidence into a coherent, clear, and persuasive narrative to be presented in court.
- Collaborate with other units within the organization to export work practices and techniques developed in the Violent Criminal Enterprises Unit (VCEU) to multi-defendant investigations and cases throughout the Trial Division.
- Perform additional administrative and paralegal duties as assigned.

Education and Experience Information:
- Level 1: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college and one year of experience as a paralegal in the criminal justice field or equivalent.
- Level 2: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college and two years of experience as a paralegal in the criminal justice field or equivalent.
- Level 3: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college and three years of experience as a paralegal in the criminal justice field or equivalent.
- A Master’s degree can be substituted for years of experience.

Preferred Requirements/Skills:
- 2 to 4 years of experience as a paralegal in the criminal justice field or equivalent, depending on the level.
- Prior experience with law enforcement or investigative agencies.
- Excellent organizational, communication, time management, writing, and creative problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and high concern for data accuracy.
- Proficiency in computer applications, including PowerPoint and Excel; knowledge of AJIS, Clear, Bloomberg, and other CityNet systems is required.
- Proficiency in Internet search strategies and techniques.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Perform all assignments accurately, professionally, and expeditiously.

Salary Information:
- Salary range: $55, – $58,

Working Hours:
- Monday to Friday, from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.

- Current office employees must have served at least one year in their current unit/department and be in good standing to be eligible for a transfer or promotion. They must also meet the minimum and additional qualifications for the position.
