Gibson Dunn, a top global law firm, is seeking a highly qualified HR Compliance Coordinator to join our team. With a focus on providing exceptional legal strategies for our clients, our firm is dedicated to maintaining compliance with all regulations and laws. This role will be responsible for supporting the Human Resources department in implementing and maintaining compliant policies and processes, as well as assisting with various compliance-related projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with implementing and maintaining compliant policies and processes related to wage and hour, leave and accommodations, recruitment, regulatory reporting, time off, compliance training, and more.
- Complete all US compliance-related reporting activities, including EEO-1, CA Pay Data Reporting, and I-9.
- Stay informed on new and revised employment and labor laws and regulations and assist in driving policy and procedural changes.
- Track and maintain compliance training programs, including harassment avoidance and workplace violence prevention.
- Identify opportunities for new HR compliance training on a firm-wide basis.
- Research and stay informed on human resources issues at the state, federal, and international level.
- Assist with global liability insurance renewals and insurance-related activities.
- Liaise with other departments to complete client questionnaires.
- Support and administer client-related compliance activities, such as background checks.
- Assist with bar audit and Limited Liability Partnership (LLP) reporting processes.
Qualifications:
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Exceptional organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Experience:
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Minimum of 2 years of HR compliance experience in a professional services environment preferred.
- Familiarity with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Knowledge of international employment laws and data privacy laws a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
- Experience with SharePoint and Microsoft Teams desirable.

- Annual compensation range of $70-90k, depending on qualifications and other considerations.
