**Job Responsibilities**

The Paralegal position involves supporting litigation cases and matters managed by both Partners and Associates at a law firm. The primary duties include:

- Participating in the entire lifecycle of multiple cases/matters from inception to closure.
- Assisting in monitoring and tracking case/matter progression.
- Managing and organizing all aspects of documents, files, and internal/external databases associated with each specific litigated case/matter.
- Ensuring that the case team has all necessary information available in a timely manner.
- Maintaining all physical elements of the case/matter in an organized, efficient, and accurate manner.
- Providing both attorneys and clients with information necessary for litigation processes, decision making, and review in a timely manner.
- Conducting various document reviews, searches, and factual research.
- Drafting discovery documents.
- Managing and tracking document productions.
- Preparing and organizing exhibits for filing, depositions, hearings, and/or trials.
- Docketing court deadlines.
- Preparing for and attending depositions, hearings, and/or trials.
- Engaging in motion practice and court filings.
- Anticipating attorney and client needs related to matters or cases under management.
- Delegating effectively and as appropriate to Legal Administrative Assistants and support staff working on the case/matter.
- Handling all communications, whether oral and written, in a prompt and professional manner ensuring that information is transferred accurately and thoroughly.
- Acting as a liaison among various internal departments, experts/consultants, as well as with outside vendors and/or agencies.
- Meeting a billable hour requirement of 1550 per year.

Additionally, the role includes general and administrative tasks such as time entry, scanning, emailing, assisting in law firm marketing for the practice area, and performing other duties as assigned.

**Education and Experience Information**

Required Education & Experience:

- Completion of either:
- Bachelor's degree OR
- Associate of Arts degree and not less than one year of in-house training as a Paralegal Assistant or Paralegal Intern, OR
- One to five years of law-related experience under the supervision of an attorney or Senior Paralegal, demonstrating a superior command of the skills necessary to be a Paralegal.
- Completion of an educational program for Paralegals approved by the American Bar Association (ABA) or offered by an accredited institution in substantial compliance with ABA guidelines for the approval of Paralegal programs is preferred.

Preferred Education & Experience:

- 5+ years of Litigation Paralegal experience.
- Experience in federal, state, and administrative litigation preferred.
- RelativityOne experience preferred, including advanced searching and data analytics.
- Experience in a law firm is preferred.

**Salary Information**

The salary range for the Paralegal role is $95,000 – $120,000. This range is based on various factors, including experience, skills, qualifications, and location. It is provided as an initial approximation at the time of posting and may vary based on the individual's unique qualifications and experience.

**Work Environment & Physical Demands**

The Paralegal operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines. The role requires talking and hearing, sitting and using hands and fingers to handle or feel, and occasionally standing, walking, reaching with arms and hands, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Vision abilities required include close vision.
