Job Title: School of Fish: STEM Careers in IP
Job Responsibilities:
- Attend weekly virtual workshops focusing on introductory information on intellectual property (IP) law and various career paths in the field.
- Participate actively in sessions led by attorneys and technology specialists from the law firm.
- Engage in an in-person session that includes interactive education, networking, interview and resume workshops, career planning, and a social reception.
- Complete all components of the program to be eligible for the monetary award.
Education and Experience Information:
- Candidates must be entering their third or fourth year of undergraduate study or be pursuing a graduate degree in a science or engineering field.
- Applicants should demonstrate a meaningful commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion through school or community efforts and initiatives.
Salary Information:
- Participants who complete the program will receive a $1,000 scholarship.
- The program covers the cost of the LSAT or Patent Office Registration exam fee for those who express interest.
- A discount code for an LSAT or Patent Office Registration Exam prep course is also provided.
Additional Requirements:
- Each applicant must submit a resume, undergraduate transcript (official or unofficial), and a directed personal statement.
- The directed personal statement should be 500 words or less, detailing the candidate's interest in STEM, patent law, and the School of Fish program specifically, as well as activities demonstrating commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
- Applications must be complete and submitted by the deadline of July 15, 2025.
- Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, and selections will be announced in August.
- Participation in the program does not constitute an employment opportunity with the law firm.
