Job Title: Legal Secretary/Paralegal
Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare legal documents: The Legal Secretary/Paralegal is responsible for drafting, reviewing, and finalizing various legal documents necessary for case proceedings.
- Assist with discovery: This role involves supporting the discovery process by gathering, organizing, and reviewing relevant documents and information.
- Manage schedules for attorneys: Coordination and management of schedules for three attorneys, ensuring efficient time management and organization.
- Hearing/trial preparation: Assist in the preparation for hearings and trials, including organizing exhibits, evidence, and other necessary materials.
- Provide clerical support: Perform general clerical duties such as filing, data entry, and maintaining records.
- Client communication: Engage in frequent communication with clients, addressing their inquiries and providing updates on case progress.
Education and Experience Information:
- Previous experience with Georgia Workers' Compensation cases is desired, indicating a preference for candidates familiar with this area of law.
- Proficiency in law and legal assistant skills is required, highlighting the need for a solid understanding of legal processes and terminology.
- Experience in legal document preparation is essential, ensuring the candidate can effectively draft and manage legal paperwork.
- Clerical skills and diary management skills are necessary for maintaining organization and efficiency in handling multiple tasks and schedules.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities are crucial for managing responsibilities and deadlines effectively.
