Job Title: Business Professional Recruiter

Job Responsibilities:

As a Business Professional Recruiter at the law firm, the role involves significant engagement in the recruitment process to support the firm's legal practice. Key responsibilities include:

- Sourcing, screening, and interviewing candidates for all staff positions across the firm.
- Assessing candidates' qualifications, experience, and fit to determine their suitability for various roles.
- Collaborating with the Business Professional Recruiting Coordinator to manage the applicant tracking system, schedule interviews, and record interview feedback.
- Partnering with department heads and Practice Group Leaders to evaluate hiring needs, define job requirements, create job postings, and establish candidate profiles.
- Developing and maintaining relationships with legal industry professionals, search firms, and professional organizations to broaden the talent pool.
- Ensuring an exceptional candidate experience throughout the recruitment process by providing clear communication and timely feedback.
- Working with HR and the Integration team to facilitate a smooth transition for new staff into the firm.
- Collaborating with the Director of Business Professional Recruiting to oversee the staff offer and hiring process, including negotiations on compensation.
- Partnering with HR and the conflicts department to ensure candidates complete all necessary paperwork and clear conflicts and background checks.
- Tracking and reporting statistics on staff hires, promotions, and departures, and maintaining annual search firm expense data.
- Performing other duties as assigned by the employer.

Education and Experience Information:

Education:

- A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university is required.

Years of Experience:

- A minimum of 6 years’ experience in recruiting, preferably within a law firm or professional services environment.
- In-house recruiting experience is strongly preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

- Proficiency with an applicant tracking system (ATS) is required.
- Ability to quickly establish relationships with individuals at all levels of the organization.
- Strong professional and effective communication skills to build trust and collaborate with various departments and leaders.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Skills in reading and writing to proof and edit documents, as well as performing non-complex arithmetic calculations.
- Ability to organize, prioritize, and complete numerous tasks under time constraints.
- Demonstrating outstanding judgment, professionalism, and maintaining a high degree of confidentiality.
- Interpersonal skills necessary for effective communication with a diverse group of staff, attorneys, vendors, and agencies, providing information with courtesy and tact.

Physical Requirements:

- Sighted, with good hearing and a clear speaking voice.

Working Conditions:

- The role is based in a normal office environment with minimal exposure to excessive noise and temperature.
- Some travel is expected, including occasional visits to other law firm offices.
- The position may require working more than 40 hours per week and may involve irregular hours.
