Job Title: Associate Counsel

Job Responsibilities:
- Research laws and prepare legal briefs, opinions, and memoranda.
- Render opinions on liability, damages, and value as requested by the Claims Department.
- Prepare and handle pleadings, motions, and discovery, including depositions/examinations before trial and examinations under oath.
- Defend all matters assigned by trial or dispositive hearing, as applicable.

Education and Experience Information:
- Juris Doctor degree is required.
- Admission to the Florida Bar is required.
- Must be licensed in good standing to practice law in Florida and meet mandatory Continuing Legal Education (CLE) requirements where applicable.
- 2-6+ years of experience in litigation, particularly in insurance/defense and/or personal injury.
- Preferred qualifications include civil litigation experience and insurance defense-related litigation experience.
- Must be able to communicate professionally in person, via telephone, and through written correspondence/email.
