Paralegal (USAO) - Full Time - DOJ MBI Clearance Required
Overview:
- Serve as a paralegal in the USAO, Eastern District of Pennsylvania, Civil Division- Philadelphia
- Responsible for supporting Assistant United States Attorneys (AUSAs) in a variety of technical paralegal services
- Work with cases involving the United States or its federal agencies, including tort cases, discrimination cases, and Affirmative Civil Enforcement actions
- Requires knowledge of the legal system, document management, and legal research
- Must have a paralegal certificate, JD, or currently attending an ABA-accredited law school, with at least one year of legal training or experience
- Trial experience and automated litigation support experience valued
- Must have excellent communication skills and be proficient in various computer applications
- DOJ MBI clearance required
Responsibilities:
- Provide a variety of direct paralegal services, including conducting legal research and drafting documents for filing in court
- Gather and summarize information from various sources, including other government agencies
- Assist in organizing and processing large quantities of data and discovery documents
- Prepare exhibits for trial and provide litigation assistance to attorneys
- Work closely with assigned AUSAs, legal assistants, case agents, and office Litigation Support staff
Qualifications:
- Paralegal certificate, JD, or currently attending an ABA-accredited law school
- One year of litigation paralegal experience or project experience
- Trial experience and automated litigation support experience valued
- Basic legal knowledge and familiarity with legal research tools
- Excellent communication skills and proficiency in computer applications
- DOJ MBI clearance required

Pay Range:
This position is covered by the Service Contract Labor Standards (SCA), with a minimum required hourly wage of . Final salary may vary depending on factors such as location, prior work experience, skills, education, and certifications.
