Job Title: Litigation Legal Assistant
Job Responsibilities:
The Litigation Legal Assistant at the law firm is responsible for a variety of administrative and legal tasks to support the efficient operation of the litigation department. Key responsibilities include:
- Proficiently utilizing Microsoft applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, as well as Adobe Pro.
- Navigating and managing case management software such as ATO and iManage.
- Filing pleadings and other legal documents in the Florida State Court filing system and the . District Court filing system.
- Scheduling and managing task deadlines, maintaining an updated case list, and handling e-filing processes.
- Drafting legal documents, including pleadings and notices, and preparing simple binders for hearings or depositions.
- Demonstrating excellent communication skills and organizational abilities to effectively support the litigation team.
Education and Experience Information:
Candidates for the Litigation Legal Assistant position must have:
- A minimum of 3 years of litigation experience.
- Experience specifically in insurance defense is recommended.
- Proficiency in relevant software and filing systems as outlined in the job responsibilities.
- The ability to work as a self-starter in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong skills in communication, organization, and attention to detail.
