Law Firm Seeking Business Development and Marketing Specialist in Chicago or New York
Overview:

Responsibilities:
- Assist and support business development team members and lawyers in executing business plans and client strategies
- Support thought leadership publications and offerings, including project management and data mining for business development opportunities
- Manage and promote direct marketing and business development programs, such as podcasts, seminars, and sponsorships
- Conduct research and analysis for strategic planning and competitive intelligence
- Support the development and tailoring of proposals and marketing materials
- Provide local office support for events and initiatives
- Perform other duties as assigned to meet firm goals and objectives
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field with 5+ years of experience in business development, marketing, or research in a professional services setting
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and scheduling and participating in video conferences
- Familiarity with research techniques and databases used for competitive intelligence in professional services
- Strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the firm and outside vendors
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a team or independently
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Demonstrates good judgment, problem-solving capabilities, and a team-first and client-service orientation
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities and deadlines
- Flexibility to work additional hours as needed
- Must be a self-starter with a high level of initiative
- Strong customer service skills and ability to anticipate needs and exercise independent judgment
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to think strategically and adopt new technologies and resources to increase productivity and efficiency
Physical Requirements:
- May require travel to other offices as needed
Salary Information:
- Typical pay scale for this position in New York is between $86,400 and $99,400, although actual salary may vary based on education, experience, skills, and internal pay alignment
