Paralegal - Foreclosure The candidate will be drafting, preparing, and formatting, and interpreting memoranda, correspondence, assignments, motions, notices, pleadings, affidavits, and various other legal documents. Communicating and documenting results of judgment and motion hearings. Coordinating processing of foreclosure sales and bidding instructions with court-appointed Committees of Sales. Communicating and documenting sale and title vesting results. Ordering and interpreting title searches and bringdowns. Running SCRA (military) and PACER (bankruptcy) checks. Fielding calls fro borrowers, clients, and other outside parties in a courteous and effective manner. Ensuring timely, courteous, and thorough responses to a heavy volume of email correspondence. Developing and maintaining congenial relationships with business associates and clients. Consistently and accurately updating the firms internal case management system, as well as all clients systems. Providing exceptional customer service to clients at every level of interaction. Providing support to attorneys in a high volume, time sensitive atmosphere. Providing regular and timely client status updates, as well as continual follow-up on outstanding documents and or services. Drafting and reviewing Conveyance Deeds; Committee payments; Drafting Supplemental Judgments; Deed in Lieu Process; Title Curative assistance as needed.
The candidate should have a Bachelor's Degree. Paralegal certificate and/or 2-3 years equivalent work experience is essential. Should have 2-3 years administrative experience. Working knowledge of Connecticut Civil procedure preferred. Familiarity with legal and title terminology is a plus. Familiarity with pre-sale HUD and VA regulations are preferred. Experience with client systems such as LPS, Lenstar, Tempo, Vendorscape and others is preferred. Ability to proficiently operate computer, fax machine, scanner, photocopier and telephone is required. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. High-level proficiency in MS Office suite is essential.
