Job Responsibilities:
The Law Firm Billing Specialist will be responsible for coordinating and administering all facets of client account analysis and billing within the Financial Services Department. Key responsibilities include:
- Managing and executing the billing process for the firm's clients, ensuring accuracy and compliance with billing guidelines.
- Utilizing electronic third-party billing applications to process and track client bills.
- Understanding and applying complex billing guidelines to ensure compliance and accuracy.
- Analyzing and tracking e-bills, including handling appeals due to deductions and specialty legal billing issues.
- Working with legal billing software applications to manage billing tasks effectively.
- Processing high-volume billing while maintaining professionalism and accuracy.
- Prioritizing tasks and working efficiently under pressure to meet client and firm deadlines.
- Collaborating with team members and other departments to resolve billing issues and improve processes.
Education and Experience Information:
- A minimum of five (5) years' legal billing experience in a law firm setting or a professional services environment is strongly preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Experience and proficiency in the use of legal billing software applications.
- Excellent interpersonal skills are essential for effective communication and collaboration.
