Job Responsibilities:
The Personal Injury Litigation Paralegal at the law firm plays a crucial role in the management and progression of personal injury cases from the initial intake stage to the filing of lawsuits. Key responsibilities include:
- Managing discovery and exhibits for legal proceedings.
- Preparing and organizing essential legal documents pertinent to various court proceedings.
- Coordinating client medical management by scheduling regular appointments with orthopedic or specialized doctors.
- Maintaining and updating the damages/medical bills tab in Litify.
- Actively participating in the collection of information necessary for discovery responses.
- Ordering medical records and bills with diligent follow-ups to ensure timely acquisition.
- Organizing medical records by provider in chronological order to maintain comprehensive and accessible documentation.
- Keeping client files well-organized and current in Litify.
- Conducting monthly courtesy calls to provide updates and check-ins with clients, demonstrating a commitment to client care.
- Collaborating professionally with attorneys, paralegals, and office staff to support teamwork and effective communication.
Education and Experience Information:
- Must be fluent in both English and Spanish.
- A minimum of three years of experience in litigation, with a focus on personal injury law, is required.
- Professionalism and prioritization of client customer service and representation are essential.
- Strong research, verbal and written communication, and interpersonal skills are necessary.
- Excellent attention to detail is required to manage complex case details and documentation.
- Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Capability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Salary Information:
The salary for the Personal Injury Trial Paralegal position at the law firm ranges from $65,000 to $75,000 per year, depending on experience.
