Job Title: Legal File Clerk
Job Responsibilities:
- Complete all copy, print, and scan requests from lawyers and staff, utilizing various binding methods, collation, and tabbing.
- Perform a quality review of each project upon completion and deliver to the requesting party.
- Accurately collect, sort, and distribute incoming . mail, inter-office mail, and overnight packages daily.
- Meter outgoing mail and prepare certified mail for delivery.
- Log and deliver all incoming packages from carriers such as FedEx and UPS.
- Assist with conference room set-ups as needed.
- Order and organize supplies for the mailroom and general office use.
- Maintain all printer stations by keeping printers and copiers stocked with paper, troubleshooting service issues, and escalating to vendors as required.
- Maintain the kitchen area by loading and unloading the dishwasher, keeping kitchen supplies stocked, and wiping down counters as necessary.
- Assist with file closing by entering closing information into the law firm's case management software, loading files into boxes, and sending them to an offsite storage facility.
- Answer all general incoming calls and perform other receptionist duties as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
- A minimum of 1-2 years of prior office services and customer service experience is required.
- Experience in a law firm is preferred.
- Attention to detail and good organizational and analytical skills are necessary.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills are required.
- The candidate must be comfortable with significant walking or standing and be able to comfortably lift 40-50 lbs. (such as a box of copy paper).
- Demonstrated competency in basic computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office, is required.
Salary Information:
- The wage depends on experience.
