Job Title: Information Governance Compliance Coordinator
Job Responsibilities:
The Information Governance Compliance Coordinator at the law firm is tasked with a variety of responsibilities centered around the management and compliance of information governance and privacy. The role emphasizes a strong commitment to customer service excellence, acknowledging that the department operates primarily as a service organization. Key responsibilities include:
- Communicating with attorneys and business professionals on issues of lawyer mobility records, such as client file transfers for both active and inactive electronic client records.
- Managing the intake of electronic documents and emails for lateral attorneys, ensuring these materials are uploaded into the iManage system.
- Handling the transfer of electronic documents and emails, including downloading these materials from iManage.
- Coordinating the transfer of print records and assisting in the development of records retention procedures.
- Engaging with attorneys and other department team members to address records retention issues.
- Overseeing records retention activities in line with firm policy and procedures, and coordinating the destruction of print records.
- Managing the approval process for optional electronic root folders and reviewing requests for new print folders to ensure compliance with records standards.
- Responsible for data entry, data analysis, implementation of legal holds, and handling document collection, production, and destruction in relation to court orders and document security per various PII provisions.
- Addressing questions, comments, and concerns related to the Information Governance Department’s policies and procedures concerning lawyer mobility, retention, and standards.
- Assisting in the development of training, procedure manuals, and guidelines.
- Acting as a liaison between attorneys, paralegals, secretaries, administration, and other records business professionals to ensure comprehensive central records services are provided equitably, promptly, and efficiently.

Education and Experience Information:
Required:
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, iManage, and other firm applications after orientation at the law firm.
- Availability to work overtime as required.
- A minimum of 2 years of direct applicable experience, which may include records experience, technology experience, or a combination of both.
- Experience with complex electronic records management systems.
- Participation in a 7x24 on-call rotation.
Preferred:
- A Bachelor’s degree.
- Previous experience in a large multi-office law firm.
- Experience in coordinating work with others and in the implementation of new technologies.
- Knowledge of SQL programming.

Salary Information:
The law firm offers a competitive compensation and benefits package, committed to equitable employment practices. The expected hourly pay range for this position, based on a 40-hour work week, is between and , translating to an annual salary of $62, to $90,. The final offer amount will depend on the candidate’s geographic location, applicable experience, and skillset.
