Job Title: Client Pricing Analyst
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain creative pricing models to assess the profitability of new and existing client fee arrangements.
- Collaborate with attorneys, marketing personnel, and department management to draft financial terms and pricing responses for client proposals and other pitch materials.
- Provide profitability, realization, and other analyses to partners and department management.
- Monitor the performance of pricing arrangements against established goals.
- Research billing history and compile intelligence to identify legal trends and develop efficiencies.
- Track client proposals and awarded work.
- Act as a liaison between partners, pricing staff, billing analysts, and e-billing staff.
- Set up and maintain negotiated rates and other fee arrangement metrics in the accounting system.
Education and Experience Information:
- A BA/BS in a related field is required; a Master’s degree is preferred.
- A minimum of 4 years of experience in a client pricing or financial reporting role is required, with law firm experience preferred.
- This role is fully remote but requires residency within a commutable distance to a firm office.
Competencies:
- Understanding of accounting systems, procedures, and principles, with a solid working knowledge of client pricing standards, alternative fee arrangements, and client presentations.
- Strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of personnel.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and complete tasks with minimal supervision.
- Strong technical skills, including high proficiency in MS Excel and other MS Office applications.
- Experience with Aderant/CMS, SQL, or Clocktimizer is a plus.
Salary Information:
- For Illinois-based applicants, the target annual salary range for this role is $92,000 - $107,000 based on a regular, full-time schedule. Compensation will be determined by factors such as experience, qualifications, market data, and internal equity. Total compensation includes comprehensive healthcare benefits, yearly retirement contributions, and may include an annual discretionary merit bonus.
- For New York-based applicants, the target annual salary range is $104,000 - $121,000 based on a regular, full-time schedule. Compensation factors include experience, qualifications, market data, and internal equity. Total compensation includes comprehensive healthcare benefits, yearly retirement contributions, and may include an annual discretionary merit bonus.
