Job Title: Senior Pricing Analyst
Job Responsibilities:
The Senior Pricing Analyst at the law firm is responsible for supporting the Associate Director of Strategic Pricing in aligning pricing initiatives with the firm's strategic goals. Key responsibilities include:
- Developing creative pricing arrangements, financial models, and budgets to support the firm's revenue and profitability initiatives.
- Generating financial analyses to support pricing strategies, policies, and optimization.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather data and insights for strategic pricing development.
- Monitoring and evaluating pricing performance metrics and providing actionable recommendations for improvement.
- Supporting the development and maintenance of team processes, checklists, pricing repository, and other resources to enhance the pricing function.
- Assisting attorneys with matter planning, budgeting, pricing estimates, and tracking.
- Responding to requests for proposals specific to pricing strategies and preparing pricing estimates.
- Conducting market and competitive pricing analysis to identify trends and opportunities, particularly during the annual timekeeper rate-setting process.
- Coaching attorneys to understand client priorities, negotiation strategies, scope and assumptions, and evaluating relevant factors and risks impacting pricing and matter management.
- Developing effective relationships with attorneys and business professionals across the firm.
Education and Experience Information:
- A 4-year degree with major coursework in Finance is preferred, or a combination of education and commensurate work experience.
- Trade training is preferred.
- 5 years of related work experience in pricing, financial, profitability analysis, or economics, preferably in a professional services environment.
- Knowledge of legal statistical modeling and pricing tools is required.
- Robust analytical skills and proficiency in computer systems and related tools, including Elite 3E, Iridium, Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Demonstrated proficiency in all Microsoft Office products, especially Excel.
- SQL proficiency is preferred.
- Familiarity with data warehouse extraction and budget platforms.
Salary Information:
The compensation for the Senior Pricing Analyst position is commensurate with skill and experience and varies based on location and other factors permitted by law. The expected compensation ranges for this position in various states and jurisdictions are as follows:
- State of California: $82,000 - $156,000
- State of Colorado: $75,000 - $134,000
- State of Illinois: $74,000 - $143,000
- Jersey City, NJ: $89,000 - $161,000
- State of Maryland: $79,000 - $120,000
- State of Massachusetts: $82,000 - $156,000
- State of Minnesota: $82,000 - $135,000
- State of New York: $76,000 - $164,000
- State of Washington: $79,000 - $150,000
- Washington, .: $106,000 - $155,000
These salaries do not include a discretionary bonus, which is non-guaranteed and dependent upon individual and firm performance.
