Job Title: Legal Support Clerk II
Job Responsibilities:
- Preparing time entry for attorneys and paralegals
- Reviewing authorizations for HIPPA compliance
- Conducting miscellaneous research projects, including CaseNet, Westlaw, and social media
- Keeping up to date on all active physical files
- Maintaining case logs for practice area cases, monitoring deadlines and status updates, if requested by the group
- Assisting secretaries with the process of opening and closing files
- Providing backup support to secretaries for e-filing requests
- Providing backup support to secretaries for bates stamping or redacting of documents
- Providing backup support for maintenance of docket calendar
Education and Experience Information:
- Minimum of 1+ years of legal experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Strong proofreading and editing skills
Additional Skills and Abilities:
- Excellent organization, time management, attention to detail, and multi-tasking skills
- Ability to anticipate needs and work both proactively and reactively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to quickly learn new technologies
- Ability to successfully prioritize multiple projects and meet internal and external deadlines
