Job Description:
As a BK Billing Specialist - Fee Approval Processor, you will be responsible for ensuring timely and accurate billing for a specified group of legal case files. This role requires a degree in Accounting or related field, at least two years of experience in Accounting, Billing, or Accounts Receivable, and knowledge of real estate foreclosure and bankruptcy processes. The ideal candidate will also have legal billing experience and experience with the Phoenix legal data management system.
Responsibilities:
• Approve transactions using the Phoenix legal data management system
• Review transactions for accuracy and verify pricing
• Request fees through client electronic databases
• Resolve discrepancies through communication with appropriate departments and clients
• Maintain frequent telephone contact with internal and external clients
• Create and maintain reports as requested by management
• Respond timely to inquiries from internal and external clients
• Assist management with research and special projects
Requirements:
• Degree in Accounting or related field preferred
• At least two years of work experience in Accounting, Billing, or Accounts Receivable
• Legal billing experience highly preferred
• Billing experience with a high-volume law firm highly preferred
• Experience with the Phoenix legal data management system highly preferred
• Working knowledge of real estate foreclosure and bankruptcy processes
