Job Title: Paralegal
Job Responsibilities:
The paralegal will work within a prominent family law firm, where they will perform a variety of tasks critical to the successful operation of the firm's legal services. The responsibilities include:
- Drafting discovery requests and responses, which involves preparing and organizing the necessary documents and information required for legal proceedings.
- Analyzing financial documents to assist in the preparation and evaluation of financial information related to cases.
- Preparing financial affidavits, which are sworn statements detailing the financial status of a client, necessary for legal proceedings.
- Assisting in trial preparation, which includes organizing documents, preparing exhibits, and coordinating with attorneys to ensure all necessary materials are ready for court.
Education and Experience Information:
Candidates must have a minimum of 3 years of experience in family law to be considered for this position. Additionally, possessing a Paralegal Certificate is crucial for this role. Candidates should have excellent verbal and written communication skills, be detail-oriented, and have strong organizational abilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel is also required to perform the job effectively.
Salary Information:
The salary for this full-time paralegal position ranges from $60,000 to $75,000 per year, commensurate with the candidate's experience.
