Job Title: Legal Secretary/Assistant
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist with data entry and maintain databases related to client information, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.

- Draft, format, and file legal documents including complaints, discovery, motions, and settlement documents, adhering to legal standards and timelines.
- Maintain and organize case files, both physical and electronic, keeping accurate records of all legal proceedings to support attorneys effectively.
- Schedule depositions, mediations, and court appearances, coordinating with relevant parties to ensure all arrangements are in place.
- Communicate professionally with clients, court staff, and medical providers, serving as a liaison to facilitate effective communication and information exchange.
- Manage attorney calendars and deadlines, ensuring all legal obligations are met promptly and efficiently.
Education and Experience Information:
- A minimum of 2 years of experience as a legal secretary in a personal injury law firm is required, demonstrating familiarity with the field.
- Proficiency in legal software such as Westlaw, Lexis, or similar case management systems is necessary to perform job functions efficiently.
- Strong knowledge of court filing procedures for both state and federal courts is essential for managing legal documents.
- Proven experience as a Legal Secretary or in a similar administrative role within a law firm, showcasing the ability to handle legal tasks effectively.
- Strong knowledge of legal terminology and procedures is essential for understanding and managing legal documents and communications.
