Job Title: Bilingual (English/Spanish) Litigation Paralegal
Job Responsibilities:
The Litigation Paralegal plays a crucial role in supporting attorneys with ongoing legal cases and trial preparations. Key responsibilities include:
- Performing secretarial, clerical, and data entry duties to assist attorneys.
- Maintaining the attorney’s calendar and scheduling depositions, pre-depositions, meetings, mediations, and hearings.
- Managing documents using Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Adobe.
- E-filing legal documents in Indiana’s E-Portal System.
- Assisting attorneys in preparing for depositions, hearings, trials, and conferences.
- Drafting legal court documents such as pleadings, motions, affidavits, and subpoenas.
- Sending correspondence to parties or non-parties via email, regular mail, or certified mail.
- Communicating effectively with clients.
- Setting up Court Calls or Zoom for hearings.
- Performing other related duties as assigned.
Education and Experience Information:
The position requires the following qualifications:
- Full-time availability from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday.
- A minimum of 5 years of litigation experience is required.
- Experience in personal injury law is highly preferred.
- Fluency in Spanish is required, as the position is bilingual.
- Trial experience is preferred.
- Experience with e-filing in both state and federal courts is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with clients and co-workers.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize workload.
- A teamwork-oriented approach.
