Job Responsibilities
- Assist attorneys in the preparation and management of complex commercial litigation cases.
- Conduct thorough legal research and gather pertinent information to support case strategies.
- Draft, review, and organize legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery materials.
- Manage and maintain case files, ensuring all documents are up-to-date and easily accessible.
- Coordinate and assist with the preparation of depositions, hearings, and trials.
- Communicate effectively with clients, witnesses, and other parties involved in the litigation process.
- Monitor deadlines and ensure compliance with court rules and procedures.
- Provide administrative support to attorneys, including scheduling and calendaring.
Education and Experience Information
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a paralegal in commercial litigation.
- A bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred.
- Paralegal certification from an accredited program is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of legal terminology, court procedures, and document management.
- Proficiency in legal research tools and software.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
