Job Title: Paralegal/Legal Assistant - Matrimonial & Family Law
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage the firm's calendar and schedule appointments to ensure efficient time management.
- Answer and screen incoming phone calls, take accurate messages, and direct calls as necessary to facilitate smooth communication.
- Handle all aspects of billing, including preparing invoices and tracking payments to ensure accurate financial records.
- Assist attorneys with drafting legal documents, including pleadings, discovery documents, uncontested divorce packets, affidavits, and correspondence, ensuring precision and adherence to legal standards.
- Organize and maintain physical and electronic files to ensure easy access and retrieval of legal documents.
- Communicate with clients, other attorneys, court personnel, and other professionals to coordinate legal activities and information exchange.
- Provide administrative support to attorneys to enhance the efficiency of legal operations.
Education and Experience Information:
- Prior experience working as a paralegal or in a similar role within a law firm setting is required, demonstrating familiarity with legal processes and documentation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and Word is necessary for effective communication and document preparation.
- Basic familiarity with Microsoft Excel is preferred to assist with data management and analysis.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential for effective interaction with clients and legal professionals.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills are crucial for managing legal documents and schedules.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment is necessary to manage workload efficiently.
- A self-starter with a proactive approach to problem-solving is preferred to address challenges independently.

Salary Information:
- Salary is commensurate with experience, ranging from $60, to $72, per year for full-time positions.
