Job Title: Boarding Paralegal
Job Responsibilities:
The Boarding Paralegal is tasked with managing the initial stages of foreclosure and bankruptcy cases at the law firm. This role is crucial in ensuring the accurate entry and management of loan data within the firm's systems, specifically CaseAware, and handling other related administrative tasks. Key responsibilities include:
- Creating and organizing new case files, ensuring all documents are properly categorized.
- Reviewing received loan documents to verify their completeness and identify if additional documents are needed.
- Inputting client and case information into the firm's case management system while ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Processing and updating file status changes to maintain accurate records.
- Categorizing and processing incoming mail associated with foreclosure and bankruptcy cases.
Education and Experience Information:
The ideal candidate for the Boarding Paralegal position should possess the following qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree is preferred, but relevant industry experience may be considered as a substitute for formal education.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in default services is required, with a preference for those with experience in both foreclosure and bankruptcy.
- Proficiency in CaseAware and familiarity with BKFS/Tempo is highly desirable.
- Exceptional organizational skills and a keen attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
