Job Title: Bookkeeper
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage, organize, and audit financial accounts, including employee credit cards and QuickBooks.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Pay monthly rent and common area maintenance (CAM) for all offices.
- Prepare documents for lenders and banks as requested.
- Check daily mail and distribute accordingly.
- Research and implement financial processes to streamline operations within the law firm.
- Organize and manage digital invoice storage systems.
- Audit client matters, including client trusts and expenses.
- Audit monthly, quarterly, and annual reports before sharing them with stakeholders.
- Provide miscellaneous office assistance as needed, such as cleaning, organizing, and greeting guests.
- Act as a backup for the Administrative Assistant and Business Director.
Education and Experience Information:
- An associate's or bachelor's degree, or comparable experience in accounting, mathematics, or finance is required.
- QuickBooks experience is strongly preferred.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in managing office accounts, finances, and audits is required.
- The candidate should be detail-oriented, responsible, possess excellent time management skills, and be well-organized.
- The candidate must be a self-starter with the ability to work both as part of a team and independently.
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects with accuracy and meet deadlines is essential.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook, is required.
- The candidate must demonstrate the highest level of professionalism and customer service and have the ability to handle confidential matters with discretion.
- Strong leadership skills are necessary.
Salary Information:
- Pay range is $55,000 to $85,000 per year.
