Job Title:
Senior Associate, SBA Loan Documentation & Closing Specialist

Job Responsibilities:
- Coordinate loan closings and prepare and review loan documents.
- Ensure all loan documents are accurately prepared in accordance with Bank policy and regulatory requirements.
- Apply job knowledge and documentation expertise to a diverse array of complex lending products.
- Prepare complex commercial loan documents using in-house and third-party documentation software platforms (LaserPro, Etran, Word templates) for SBA Express, 7A, and 504 new loans, renewals, extensions, and modifications.
- Conduct lien searches and related due diligence tasks to resolve outstanding lien issues and deliver lien documents to designated vendors.
- Review loan documents prepared by other associates or outside counsel to ensure compliance with the Bank's loan policy, applicable banking regulations, applicable government-related Standard Operating Procedures (“SOP”), and other requirements designated by the credit approval authority.
- Review organizational documents, appraisals, surveys, flood determinations & flood policies, and other third-party documents to ensure conformity with bank and/or SBA SOP standards.
- Analyze due diligence documentation and prepare necessary lien perfection documents to protect the bank's security interest in pledged collateral.
- Assist in identifying and clearing any exceptions within the appropriate time periods.
- Coordinate the issuance of letters of credit, including renewals and amendments.
- Interact with underwriters, relationship managers, customers, agent banks, attorneys, title companies, and insurance agents to ensure all conditions are met for closing.
- Instruct new associates and serve as a training resource for less experienced associates in the department.
- Manage a complex workload that includes multiple tasks and conflicting priorities.
- Remain current on all pending and proposed regulatory changes affecting compliance and attend seminars and workshops covering regulatory and compliance issues.
- Maintain expert knowledge of lending processes, loan principles, and terminology related to banking laws and regulations, as they pertain to loan disclosures and requirements.
- Maintain expert knowledge of commercial Real Estate loan documentation, collateral perfection, title insurance, UCC due diligence, compliance requirements, lending policies and procedures, and loan/funding terminology.

Education and Experience Information:
Basic Qualifications:
- At least 5 years of experience in Banking or Financial Services.
- At least 2 years of experience in SBA Loan Closing experience (Express, 7a, and 504).
- At least 2 years of customer service experience in a consumer, mortgage, or commercial lending support role.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Associates Degree or higher in Accounting or Finance.
- Business Management courses or paralegal certification.
- At least 5 years of experience in loan administration and documentation.
- At least 5 years of experience in SBA Loan Closing experience (Express, 7a, and 504).
- At least 5 years of customer service experience in a consumer, mortgage, or commercial lending support role.

Salary Information:
- Plano, TX: $78,400 - $89,500 for Sr. Process Manager.
- Richmond, VA: $78,400 - $89,500 for Sr. Process Manager.

- This role is hybrid, meaning associates spend 3 days per week in-person at one of our offices listed on this job posting. Fridays are enterprise-wide virtual workdays. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday are in-person days for associates to spend time together working in our beautifully-designed team areas.
