The Director of Research Services is a key leadership role at **Members Only**. This position offers a unique opportunity to build and shape the Research Services department, while also implementing cutting-edge technology and knowledge management strategies. With a strong focus on collaboration and innovation, the Director will play a crucial role in driving the success of the firm and its clients.

Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of research operations, including strategic vision setting, collection management, knowledge management, research technology, policy development, and team management.
- Lead a team of information professionals, hiring, training, and developing staff, and managing schedules to maintain service levels.
- Collaborate with firm leadership on long-term strategies for Research Services and manage the department's budget.
- Evaluate, select, negotiate and manage vendor contracts to meet the firm's evolving needs.
- Develop and maintain research and knowledge management tools and guides, and introduce AI solutions to enhance efficiency.
- Stay current with emerging legal research and knowledge management technologies, particularly AI, and collaborate with other departments to optimize resource deployment.
- Design and conduct training on legal research, knowledge management, and technology use, and create instructional materials for fee earners and professionals.

Qualifications:
- .
- 15+ years of experience in legal/business research, knowledge management, technology, and resource management.
- Leadership experience in a law firm or professional services environment.
- Strong organizational, project management, and mentoring skills.
- Expertise in legal and business research tools, as well as proficiency in Windows-based software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strategic thinking and ability to align services with firm objectives.
- Adaptability in a rapidly changing legal/consulting environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to gather information from a broad range of sources and influence others.
- Superior planning, project management, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Deep commitment to integrity, judgment, and ethics.
- Ability to work discreetly with confidential information and situations.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to travel as needed.

Salary Information:
- Base annual pay range of $185,000-$235,000, depending on skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
