**Job Title:**
Information Governance Data Analyst
**Job Responsibilities:**
- Collaborate with the Information Governance (IG) and IT department to implement policies and processes for managing the electronic lifecycle, including onboarding, offboarding, retention, and disposition of electronic client or firm information.
- Utilize the law firm's data management tools to assist in the collection, review, upload, and disposition of electronic information within the firm's document management system.
- Import data into the firm's document management system using tools such as Microsoft Excel, Microsoft SQL, and other import tools.
- Coordinate with relevant personnel to ensure proper identification, indexing, and locating of electronic collections of both structured and unstructured data.
- Conduct preliminary reviews and provide retention recommendations for electronic repositories across various applications and storage environments.
- Execute database searches, audits, and close-out reviews to ensure information is managed according to firm processes.
- Use Secure Send or other FTP server technology, along with security and encryption controls, metadata structure, and database reporting, to transfer applicable information out of the firm's systems.
- Assist with information clean-up projects.
- Coordinate with other teams to import data into iManage, docketing applications, or eDiscovery platforms.
- Troubleshoot data transfer and acquisition issues and report on solutions.
- Participate in special projects and additional duties as assigned by management.
**Knowledge, Abilities, Skills, Interpersonal and Other Requirements:**
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word).
- Significant understanding of database tables and structure.
- Proficiency in Sequel/SQL.
- Ability to access, input, analyze, and retrieve information from various computer systems.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Strong critical thinking skills.
- Ability to support multiple priorities simultaneously, accurately, and professionally.

- Law firm experience preferred.
- The role requires a high level of mental effort while performing a high volume of problem-solving tasks and other essential duties.
- Work may require irregular hours and more than the standard weekly hours to perform essential duties.
**Education & Experience:**
- Bachelor’s Degree required.
- Experience working in a professional environment, preferably in a technical role.
- Experience providing exemplary customer service in a fast-paced environment.
- Law firm experience preferred but not required.
**Salary Information:**
