Job Title: IT Contracts Paralegal
Job Responsibilities:
The IT Contracts Paralegal will work under the direction of staff attorneys and will primarily be responsible for the following tasks:
- Maintaining IT-related contract templates for various businesses within the company. These contracts include those related to software, data, and technology development services.
- Assisting attorneys with the drafting, review, and negotiation of various technology-related agreements. These agreements encompass software and data licenses, services, SaaS, confidentiality agreements, trading systems, FIX connectivity, API implementation, hosting, outsourcing, maintenance, consulting, research distribution, and other similar agreements.
Education and Experience Information:
- The candidate should hold a Paralegal Certification and/or a Bachelor’s degree.
- If the candidate is a law school student, they should have completed at least two full years of law school.
- Previous financial industry experience is considered a plus.
- The candidate should be a motivated and detail-oriented self-starter with an interest in entering the IT transactional contracts field.
- Superior organizational skills are beneficial for this position as it involves interacting with internal clients, counsel, and others.
- Strong follow-up and communication skills are critical for success in this role.
- The candidate should be able to act on detailed instructions, remain organized, and demonstrate good judgment and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
Salary Information:
The salary for the IT Contracts Paralegal position ranges from $80,000 to $90,000. The actual base salary will be determined on an individualized basis, taking into account a wide range of factors, including but not limited to relevant skills, experience, education, and, where applicable, licenses or certifications held. In addition to the base salary, the position offers a competitive benefits package and may be eligible for additional types of compensation, including discretionary bonuses and other short- and long-term incentives such as deferred cash, equity, etc.
