Job Title: Docketing Specialist

Job Responsibilities:
The Docketing Specialist will serve as an integral part of the law firm's nationwide docketing team, specifically dedicated to supporting assigned office locations. The primary responsibilities include:

- Reviewing court notices, pleadings, and agency filings to accurately enter deadlines into the firm’s docketing software promptly.
- Generating and distributing both daily and weekly reports, along with any special reports requested by the assigned offices.
- Keeping abreast of developments, procedures, and rules in courts and agencies relevant to the designated assignment group.
- Applying established case-closing procedures as needed for all matters within the designated assignment group.
- Researching and responding to inquiries from attorneys, managers, paralegals, and assistants to effectively manage the docket and calendars.
- Assisting with additional projects as needed and directed.
- Efficiently managing workload and time to meet the demands of the role.

Education and Experience Information:
- A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a legal environment is required.
- At least three years of docketing experience is preferred.
- Familiarity with labor and employment law practice is necessary, with specific experience in California docketing being advantageous.
- Proficient use of CompuLaw docketing software, or similar rules-based docket management software, is expected.
- Candidates must exhibit strong attention to detail, analytical abilities, and resourcefulness.
- Knowledge of standard concepts, practices, and procedures of state and federal courts and agencies within labor and employment law practices is essential.
- The ability to communicate effectively with attorneys, staff, and co-workers regarding all aspects of docketing, court filings, and processes is crucial.
- Proven project execution skills and a strong client service attitude are important.
- The ability to work individually to prioritize and execute tasks is required.
- Proficiency in technology is necessary.
