Alston & Bird, an internationally recognized law firm, is seeking a Business Development Specialist to join our team and support our global Client Development & Marketing department. As a Business Development Specialist, you will have the opportunity to work closely with our Finance and Financial Services lawyers to support their marketing and business development needs. You will also play a key role in identifying and pursuing new opportunities for the firm in the London market. With a strong emphasis on collaboration and teamwork, this role will allow you to work closely with colleagues across the firm to drive success and growth.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop relationships with lawyers in the Finance and Financial Services practices to serve as a point of contact for marketing and business development needs.
- Conduct market research and analysis to support pitches and RFPs for potential clients.
- Proofread and edit client-facing and internal marketing materials.
- Coordinate with lawyers and the global marketing team on award nominations and submissions for industry rankings.
- Recommend and coordinate sponsorships, memberships, and event attendance to increase the firm's visibility and influence in the London market.
- Ensure accuracy and timeliness of content on the firm's website and in proposal databases.
- Collaborate with marketing and business professionals across the firm to support various initiatives.
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency.

Qualifications:

- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to confidently interact with attorneys and support their business development efforts.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent time management and prioritization skills.
- Ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Previous experience in a marketing or business development role preferred.

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Previous experience at a law firm or professional services firm preferred.
