Job Title: Practice Group Marketing Specialist (Sponsorships)
Job Responsibilities:
The Practice Group Marketing Specialist (Sponsorships) is tasked with supporting all business development and marketing activities for the practice(s) within the Business (Corporate) Department at the law firm. The role involves working closely with firm attorneys and other marketing team members to drive revenue and brand through new business opportunities and client expansion programs. The primary responsibilities include:
- Developing and supporting marketing and business development plans in coordination with the Practice Group Manager, Director of Marketing–Business Department, and other team members.
- Leading programs, events, sponsorships, and other initiatives to drive revenue and promote the law firm’s brand.
- Guiding marketing strategies and tactics, serving as a liaison between the practice group and other marketing functions.
- Coordinating and leveraging practice group marketing activities with adjacent business development efforts across the firm.
- Creating pitch decks, tracking ROI, and collaborating with marketing managers and partners to formulate and implement policies and procedures for business development initiatives.
- Conducting business research, relationship searches, and coordinating business development training sessions.
- Coordinating cross-selling pods and serving as a point of contact for business development/sales support for attorneys in the practice group.
- Providing input and recommendations on marketing programs and budget spend related to the business (corporate) department.
- Tracking ROI for budget items and ensuring budget spend is monitored and reported on.
- Identifying, supporting, and managing networking, speaking, conference, and event sponsorship opportunities aligned with practice business plans.
- Serving as a relationship liaison with key business, industry, trade, and partnership organizations.
- Collaborating with the communications and creative services teams to facilitate internal and external communications projects.
- Executing in-person and virtual hosted events, client receptions, and alumni programs.
- Facilitating sponsorship execution and maximizing ROI on involvement, driving, managing, tracking, and evaluating the ROI on various programming initiatives.
- Championing law firm branding and related standards on creative services projects, coordinating promotional items for marketing events with the core teams.
- Serving as a subject matter expert in the relevant industry and service lines, developing and maintaining marketing materials and collateral.
- Steering data using appropriate firm technologies and services, leading deal tracking and reporting efforts for the practice.
- Supporting lateral attorney orientation and onboarding, role modeling the use of the CRM tool (Salesforce) in managing sponsorships and events.
- Curating quarterly newsletters and deal sheets, serving as a resource on the budget, and creating metrics reporting to Marketing Department leadership.
Education and Experience Information:
Required:
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, iManage, and other firm applications after orientation.
- Proficiency in firm marketing systems software following training, including CRM tool (Salesforce), WordPress, and SCORE database.
- Availability to work overtime as required.
- 3+ years of direct applicable experience in a marketing-related field.
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, communication, marketing, or a related field.
- Business development or sales experience.
- Experience in a law firm or professional services environment with a working knowledge of professional services industries.
- Project management experience and direct experience in creating and monitoring sales and business plans, goal tracking, and sales pipeline management.

Salary Information:
The expected hourly pay range for this position, based on a work schedule of 40 hours per week, is - , which translates to an annual salary of $87,360 - $117,520. The final offer amount will depend on geographic location, applicable experience, and skillset of the candidate.
