Job Title: Legal Recruiting Manager
Job Responsibilities:
The Legal Recruiting Manager is responsible for managing the day-to-day functions of lateral associate and counsel recruiting, ensuring the acquisition of top-notch talent. This includes developing and executing recruiting plans for patent agents, associates, and counsel candidates. The role involves collaboration with the Director of Attorney Recruiting, practice group leaders, and partner liaisons to forecast recruiting needs and develop strategies. The Manager will also systematize the search process, foster relationships with legal industry contacts, and oversee 3L law school student recruiting.
In addition to lateral recruiting, the Manager assists with the 1L and 2L recruitment processes, including candidate interviews and offer decisions. They help execute the Summer Associate Program, ensuring firmwide consistency in onboarding, training, social events, and evaluations. The Manager also coordinates law school outreach and on-campus events to enhance the firm's visibility.
General duties include providing direction and professional development for recruiting coordinators and assistants, collaborating with administrative departments for marketing materials, and performing other related tasks as needed.
Education and Experience:
The ideal candidate should have a and 8+ years of related experience in a law firm or in-house legal department. Significant experience and a demonstrated track record in legal industry recruiting are essential. Familiarity with recruiting software such as LawCruit, Florecruit, viRecruit, and/or Workday is a plus.
Skills and Qualifications:
Candidates should be action-oriented, proactive, and innovative in their recruiting approach. Exceptional service to clients, strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, and the ability to work well under pressure are required. A detail-oriented work manner, ability to prioritize and meet deadlines, and a forward-thinking and flexible approach to recruiting are essential. Proficiency in MS Office products is necessary.
Salary Information:
The anticipated salary range for this position is $126,000 - $189,000. The actual base salary offered may depend on various factors, including the applicant's qualifications, years of relevant experience, education level, certifications, and location. A discretionary bonus for eligible employees may also be available based on performance. Additional information about employee benefits and discretionary bonuses is available upon request.
