The law firm of Cooley is seeking a highly qualified senior associate or special counsel to join their Cyber/Data/Privacy practice group in one of their offices located in New York, San Francisco, Chicago, or Washington, DC. This position will focus on litigation and regulatory enforcement investigations involving privacy and data security matters.

Responsibilities:
- Represent clients in regulatory investigations and litigation involving consumer protection issues
- Defend data privacy and security class actions, including Stored Communications Act, wiretapping claims, and claims involving unfair and deceptive trade practices
- Engage directly with clients and lead significant projects
- Demonstrate general tech fluency and impeccable analytical and writing skills
Requirements:
- At least seven years of experience in regulatory investigations or litigation involving consumer protection issues
- Strong academic background from a nationally recognized law school
- Ability to engage directly with clients and lead significant projects
- General tech fluency and impeccable analytical and writing skills
Salary and Benefits:
- Expected annual pay range of $420,000+
- Final offer amount dependent on geographic location, experience, and skillset of candidate
