Job Title: Billing Administrator
Job Responsibilities:
As a Billing Administrator at the law firm, you will be tasked with coordinating billing requirements for various partners, secretaries, and their clients. You will support the Senior Billing Administrators and Billing Manager as directed, ensuring accurate and timely entry into the firm’s billing system while maintaining a high level of customer service. Key responsibilities include:
- Invoice Preparation: Order, prepare, and distribute pre-bills for assigned billing partners/accounts and assist with overflow needs of the billing team. Transmit electronic billing (“eBilling”), prepare, produce, and finalize invoices for assigned accounts and overflow demands.
- Client/Attorney Requirements: Coordinate special client billing requests with the Billing Manager, respond to Client Accounting emails and help line calls, assist with preparing client and/or attorney analyses, address revised invoice balances, prepare client audit reports, maintain client/matter maintenance information, and collaborate with collection coordinators on accounts receivable issues. Additional duties include assisting with bill preparation for sophisticated bills, maintaining unallocated funds, reprinting posted invoices, producing ad hoc reports, assisting with billing overflow from other offices, and updating billing addresses and payer information as needed.
Education and Experience Information:
- A minimum of 1-3 years’ experience in a professional services environment is required, with law firm billing experience preferred.
- Experience with financial/billing software packages and Finance/Accounting organizational operations is necessary. Knowledge of the “Aderant Expert” Billing System is preferred.
- Experience with electronic billing transmission on various eBilling platforms, with eBillingHub experience being a plus.

- Ability to adhere to and apply billing department policies and procedures.
- Professional and tactful communication skills with all levels of the firm.
- High level of customer service in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to handle a high volume of tasks with attention to detail and prioritization.
- Proficiency in MS Office, with strong knowledge of Excel preferred.
Salary Information:
The target salary range for this position varies by location and is commensurate with relevant experience, ranging from $71,200 to $75,000. This position is eligible for overtime.
