Job Title: Legal Secretary
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide efficient and effective administrative services to fee earners such as Associates, Trainees, and others as assigned.
- Undertake specific practice group tasks and requirements.
- Produce documents with quick and accurate turnaround.
- Navigate across the Service Center to complete various tasks.
- Utilize and review materials from Service Centers to ensure accuracy.
- Confidently navigate the Service Now portal, including toggling between multiple inboxes and Service Now to open and close tickets.
- Proactively build and coordinate relationships with Center-based services.
- Manage competing deadlines, including effectively managing multiple tasks and seeking assistance from the team when needed to meet deadlines.
- Assist with clerical administration activities (., printing/scanning, travel arrangements, etc.).
- Identify and manage skill gaps.
- Respond to assignments coming into the shared team Inbox.
- Navigate Baker World efficiently.
- Demonstrate flexibility with work schedule to support services fee earners across North America covering different time zones (East, West, and Central).
Education and Experience Information:
- Experience working with cloud-based platforms that deliver digital workflows; ideal candidates will have experience using ServiceNow.
- Ability to manage customer expectations and meet and exceed Service Level Agreements.
- Proficient at prioritization including providing estimated time for completion of tasks and negotiating additional time where necessary.
- Experience with quality management systems and peer review.
- Strong experience working in a team environment.
- Advanced and specialized expertise, typically developed through a combination of job-related training and considerable work experience.
- Strong technical capabilities across MSOffice Suite (., Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, PowerPoint, Teams).
- Interested in career development and advancing both soft, tech, and administrative capabilities.
- Ability to embrace change and challenges.
- Ability to focus on the delivery of high-quality services.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Salary Information:
- This position is bonus eligible and includes benefits such as medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) based on the number of hours worked.
- The US base compensation for this position is expected to be $70,000 to $85,000 annually if located in an office in the city of Chicago or up to $80,000 to $96,000 if located in an office in the state of California.
- Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
