Job Title: Client Intelligence Manager (Hybrid)
Job Responsibilities:
The Client Intelligence Manager is responsible for the development, deployment, process support, and technical support of the law firm's lawyer-facing intelligence tools and platforms. This role involves overseeing the design, development, and maintenance of intelligence and analytics tools, ensuring they are continually improved and enhanced to meet future needs. The manager will lead an analytics team to develop visual dashboards for business development and operational needs. Key responsibilities include:
- Overseeing the sourcing, evaluation, and utilization of future enhancements to intelligence tools as technologies evolve.
- Planning, executing, and maintaining complex analyses supporting strategic firm initiatives delivered as dashboards and AI-enabled solutions.
- Collaborating with the Data Solutions Engineering team to design data pipelines across disparate data sources.
- Evaluating new data resources, technologies, and processes for teams throughout the firm.
- Developing use-cases with lawyers and operational professionals to adopt and scale innovative solutions.
- Building cross-functional relationships with software engineers, solutions engineers, and other business stakeholders.
- Providing technical leadership and strategic direction to align intelligence initiatives with business objectives.
- Partnering with IT staff, vendors, and third parties to address technical issues and implement upgrades and enhancements.
- Establishing best practices for analytics, data dashboard, and application design and development.
- Collaborating with governance and data stakeholders to establish standard metrics reporting.
- Partnering closely with the firm's PMO and Change Management teams to ensure platform adoption and ongoing enhancements.
- Developing standard configuration documentation and related guides for data consumers.
- Designing end-user training, onboarding, and user adoption programs.
- Performing special projects and duties as assigned.
Education and Experience Information:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required.
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in a law firm, corporate legal department, or professional services environment, particularly within an intelligence function.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience managing and leading intelligence teams.
- Proficiency in business intelligence, application development, and data visualization.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of the legal technology landscape, including trends, tools, and industry standards.
- Extensive experience with legal technology, workflow systems, legal project management, and practice management tools.
- Deep understanding of law firm structure, business practices, and practice-specific terminology.
- Experience with a broad array of legal practices including transactional, litigation, and regulatory.
- Familiarity with emerging Microsoft OneLake, Fabric, Power, Copilot, and related concepts and applications.
- Proficiency with MS Office and Power platform for analyzing and communicating data-related concepts.
- Understanding of cybersecurity best practices and compliance requirements in the legal industry.
- Ability to develop collaborative relationships among business teams, lawyers, firm administrative departments, and vendors.
- Initiative and creativity to develop unique and innovative approaches to address existing challenges.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex assignments with competing deadlines and priorities.
Preferred Qualifications & Education:
- A Master’s degree or related coursework or certifications is strongly preferred.
Salary Information:
This position may be filled in Illinois, District of Columbia, or New York. The base salary ranges for this position are:
- Illinois: $128,000 - $191,400 per year
- District of Columbia: $139,000 - $208,800 per year
- New York City: $139,000 - $208,800 per year
