Summary:

We are looking for an experienced attorney to join our School Law Practice at Parker McCay. This full-time position will focus on handling special education matters for our Public Schools and Education Department. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in representing school districts in special education litigation, including knowledge of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA). In addition to special education matters, this position offers the opportunity to work on a variety of legal issues. Essential Functions:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in special education litigation
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with various parties involved in special education matters

Requirements:

• Law degree from an accredited law school and admission to New Jersey Bar
• Minimum of 5 years of legal experience in school and special education law
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
• Ability to work independently and establish priorities
• Experience in generating new clients through networking and marketing efforts
• Self-motivated and entrepreneurial
