Position Summary:

Provides high-level legal support to a team of attorneys in the Litigation Department
Manages all aspects of professional responsibilities for assigned attorneys
Must be flexible to work overtime as needed

Duties & Responsibilities:

Coordinates creation, editing, proofreading, and processing of legal documents
Maintains legal files (both paper & electronic) and organizes documents
Updates case information and manages document deliveries
Receives and evaluates telephone calls and communicates with clients, opposing counsel, courts, and liaisons
Collaborates with other legal support team members and utilizes available resources effectively
Assists with overflow work and special projects as assigned

Skills & Competencies:

Proficient in administrative tasks such as time entry, travel arrangements, and processing invoices and expenses
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and time management
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work well in a team and handle multiple priorities
Understands and maintains confidentiality
Professionalism, technical proficiency, and ability to work under pressure

Qualifications & Prior Experience:

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience preferred
5+ years of experience within a law firm
Commercial litigation experience required
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and document management
Knowledge of laws, legal codes, and court procedures
Experience with e-filing
