Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Litigation Assistant to join our team in Miami, FL. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, exceptional problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Responsibilities:

- Manage the day-to-day operations of the law firm, including administrative tasks and supporting the legal team
- Maintain pleadings and discovery indexes
- Organize exhibits, documents, evidence, briefs, and appendices
- Implement and improve administrative processes for more efficient workflow
- Collect, examine, and organize evidence and other legal documents for attorney review and case preparation
- Draft and proofread correspondence and legal documents, such as pleadings and contracts
- Conduct legal research and assist with the preparation of reports, case files, and legal advice
- Manage client billing, including preparing, finalizing, and sending out bills and resolving billing issues
- Communicate with clients and witnesses to schedule meetings, interviews, and depositions
- Manage, organize, and maintain documents in paper or electronic filing systems

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or GED required
- Associates degree in paralegal studies, a paralegal certificate, or a bachelor's degree preferred
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
- 2+ years of experience as an administrative assistant, legal assistant, legal secretary, or paralegal, preferably in a law firm or corporate legal department
- Experience in Personal Injury, WC, Premises, or other injury related practice areas preferred
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and handle a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in calendar depositions, mediation, and hearings
- Knowledge of motions, discovery, evidence, litigation documentation, court rules and procedures
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
