Paralegal New Grad Position at Top Law Firm in Miami

Are you a recent graduate looking to jumpstart your career in the legal field? Look no further! Morgan & Morgan, a top personal injury law firm, is seeking a Paralegal New Grad to join our team in Miami, Florida. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced attorneys and gain valuable hands-on experience in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Responsibilities:

- Manage administrative tasks such as scheduling hearings and deadlines, organizing case files, and managing logistics
- Maintain pleadings and discovery indexes
- Organize exhibits, documents, evidence, briefs, and appendices
- Implement and improve administrative processes for more efficient workflow
- Collect, examine, and organize evidence and other legal documents for attorney review and case preparation
- Draft and proofread correspondence and legal documents
- Conduct legal research and assist with the preparation of reports, case files, and legal advice
- Manage client billing and resolve billing issues in cooperation with the billing attorney
- Communicate with clients and witnesses to schedule meetings, interviews, and depositions
- Manage and maintain documents in paper or electronic filing systems

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Associates degree in paralegal studies, a paralegal certificate, or a bachelor's degree preferred
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
- Minimum of 2 years experience as an administrative assistant, legal assistant, legal secretary, or paralegal, preferably in a law firm or corporate legal department
- Experience in Personal Injury, WC, Premises, or other injury-related practice areas preferred
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in calendar depositions, mediation, and hearings
- Knowledge of motions, discovery, evidence, litigation documentation, court rules and procedures
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
- Strong attention to detail
- Computer and database expertise, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and typing speed of at least 35 wpm
