# Job Title: Compliance Liaison, Employee Health & Benefits (MMA Mid-Atlantic)

## About the Job

At Marsh McLennan Agency (MMA), we provide business insurance, employee health & benefits, retirement, and private client insurance solutions to organizations and individuals seeking limitless possibilities. We are looking for a Compliance Liaison to join our Employee Health & Benefits (EHB) team in the MMA Mid-Atlantic Region. In this role, you will be responsible for providing our EHB internal team with clarification and guidance on a broad range of compliance topics applicable to health and welfare plans.

## Responsibilities

As a Compliance Liaison, you will:

- Collaborate with appropriate members of the organization to ensure effective outcomes related to projects, tasks and initiatives
- Work directly with MMA’s Compliance Center of Excellence, regional carrier partners, and regional Producer/Account Management Leadership Groups
- Establish and maintain understandable compliance resources for our EHB team members to ultimately utilize as resources for our clients
- Conduct research, respond to benefits compliance inquiries, and provide internal training for our employee benefit consultants and support teams
- Understand the impacts of legislative issues and compliance standards regarding employer sponsored health and welfare plan administration

## Qualifications

We are looking for a Compliance Liaison with the following qualifications:

- Minimum of 5-7 years previous insurance agency/brokerage experience in employee benefits required
- In-depth understanding of Health & Welfare Plans and compliance resources
- Detailed knowledge of the agency procedures, and corporate, industry, state and federal compliance regulations required
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; take initiative; be solution focused; and be a change agent for the organization
- Bachelor’s degree, Paralegal degree or equivalent experience preferred
- Paralegal Certification preferred
