## Bankruptcy & Creditors’ Rights Paralegal **Job ID: 1162** Bradley Law Firm is looking for an experienced Bankruptcy & Creditors’ Rights Paralegal to join their team in their Birmingham, AL office. This position is responsible for a broad range of areas including bankruptcy, loan workouts and restructurings, commercial litigation, real estate and transactional/closing matters. The successful candidate must be well versed in bankruptcy, federal and state court procedures and filing requirements, including e-filing. ### Job Responsibilities: * Research and follow local court rules * Manage hard copy and electronic case documents * Draft, issue and manage discovery, including organizing, bates stamping and maintaining voluminous document productions * Assist attorneys with motions, hearings and depositions * Cite-check, blue book and Sherardize briefs and legal memoranda * Draft routine court filings with minimal attorney supervision, including motions for relief, bankruptcy proofs of claim, subpoenas, summonses, writs of garnishment, notices of appearance, and pro hac vice admissions * Draft forbearance agreements and other basic loan documents using pre-approved templates * Review and summarize loan documents * Assist attorneys with closing transactions * Order and review public records searches, including title work, UCC and lien searches, and corporate filings * Assist attorneys with foreclosures, including preparing notices and publications * Perform administrative duties, such as calendaring hearings, court and discovery deadlines * Perform basic legal research on Westlaw and Lexis * Perform all other duties as assigned ### Job Requirements: * Bachelor's degree with ABA paralegal certification or Associates/Bachelor’s degree in Paralegal studies, preferred * 5+ years minimum paralegal experience within a law firm * Knowledge and understanding of legal principles and practices * Experienced in all areas of paralegal duties * Proficient in Microsoft Office * Strong organizational and problem-solving skills * Excellent oral and written communication skills * Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment * Strong time-management skills and ability to multi-task * Self-motivation and ability to work with minimal supervision * Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with appropriate discretion * Willingness to work overtime if needed ### Salary and Benefits: This position offers a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package.
