This role will be responsible for managing the firm's paraprofessional program across all three law departments - Business Law, Intellectual Property, and Litigation. The Director will play a crucial role in driving the firm's strategic direction and managing all aspects of the paraprofessional team, including recruiting, onboarding, training, and development, performance management, and compensation. Responsibilities - Develop and maintain a firmwide paraprofessional program across all three law departments, with a focus on providing excellent internal and external client support. - Analyze and make recommendations for improvements to existing paraprofessional programs and staffing structures, implementing strategic and innovative approaches to process improvement. - Develop hiring criteria and advancement frameworks, ensuring consistency across all law departments. - Support the professional development of paraprofessionals through onboarding, integration, and ongoing training programs. - Proactively address attorney and client support needs and create workflow coverage plans, monitoring utilization and realization of paraprofessionals and adjusting resources as needed. - Collaborate with legal departments and accounting & finance on paraprofessional billing rates. - Prepare and oversee budgeting for the paraprofessional program. Qualifications - Bachelor's degree required. - Minimum of 10 years of legal and/or paraprofessional experience, with at least 5 years of managerial experience. - Experience working with paraprofessionals in multiple practice areas preferred.
